Book Report on Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone

Have you ever dream of being a wizard that can do anything easily with your magic? Or how if actually you are a wizard, and this morning, an owl delivered your letter of acceptance to a wizard school? But actually, being a wizard is not as easy as you might think. This is what Harry Potter faced in his 11th birthday in fiction novel Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone.

Harry Potter is a boy who has a lightning scars on his forehead, who lost his parents and lived with his uncle―Vernon Dursley, aunt―Petunia Dursley, and their spoiled son―Dudley Dursel. Harry wasn’t treated nicely there. He sleeps under a stair and treated like a servant. Overall, his life is a misery, yes, until a letter flies from the door telling him that he had accepted to the famous wizard school Hogwarts. Even Harry didn’t know if he is a wizard all this time. This story begins after this, how Harry actually is a famous in the magic world, about friends he made, and how he struggles about enemies he have to face.

Harry is a brave boy. He is sorted to Gryffindor, the house for a brave, chivalrous, courageous boy or girl.  And he’s quite passionate. Like when his first fly lesson, Harry even go up above just he can take his friend’s Remembrall which just got thrown by their sly friend, Draco Malfoy. He’s also a talented boy, as he can fly even before the professor teaches how to. And harry also have the blue side. Especially when he remembered about his parents that left him alone 11 years ago. Like when he found The Mirror of Erised. Mirror which is provide the deepest wish from the person who look at it. And Harry saw his parents in it. 

In Hogwarts, Harry find his new family, his friends Ron and Hermione, the three always go together and do almost everything together. Even when Harry got curious about the thing Hogwarts hide from everyone. The Sorcerer’s Stone which is wanted by the evil witch and when he smells trouble, they face it together. The adventure, the explosion, the tension, it’s all here.

This is an awesome book to read. Even when it published long ago. Even when it had been filmed. Even now the book had already finished. I never get bored reading this again and again. I mesmerized about how J.K Rowling organize all the words so it will be enjoyable to read. 

This book bring mo to dream I never imagined. It’s beyond my fantasy. Whenever I finished read, I always ask how it feels to be Harry Potter. How it feels to be in Hogwarts. And I literary fell in love with all the words here. 

And the quotes I specially highlight are :

"The truth." Dumbledore sighed. "It is a beautiful and terrible thing, and should therefore be treated with great caution." -page 298

"What happened down in the dungeons between you and Professor Quirrell is a complete secret, so, naturally, the whole school knows" -page 296

The two quotes said by the same person, but with different feeling I guess.
